Yes.  Those are rally (think Dakar Rally) road books on the handlebars.  I borrowed that photo from Scott Whitney who is organizing a rally in northern Arizona that runs along the north rim of Grand Canyon.

Jack, I'm really starting to feel the "Utah Twitch".
You see that big downed Ponderosa Pine tree with the truck driving through it..Apparently, that's not unusual. Here's a picture of my buddy Bob Mehl posed next to one a few years ago. These things are Huge.

Bert, I found this perfect multifunction accessory that I am sure that you will need, require, and appreciate on you Utah adventure trip.

This marvelous piece of equipment is truly multifunctional. Here is just a small listing of what one can use this fine tool for:

Can installed on more than one location;   Bikes rear rack or riders rear.
A person can mount the unit while on the bike or easy access once off the bike.

Can be used while standing or for sitting.

Unit is water proof and stain resistant.

Unit is Mutil-Storage:
Can store, cloths, tools, manuals, books, and extra GAS.
Some people have been known to even store large logs in this product.

This is perfect for use around  the Camp fire. You can take a load off and just sit on it enjoying natural  effects that nature will have on you.

Will even handle both solids and liquids or even a combination of both.

Since you are going out west, where water is in short supply, you can use the unit as an additional water supply.

One can even wash their clothes if needed, but some do not like the blue color that can happen after the rinse cycle.

I am surprise that you do not already have this item knowing how you love to have the best of the best and neatest products for your bikes.

So do not delay. This great item can now be yours and if you order now "FREE SHIPPING". Wow!

Comes in different sizes so pick the right size to when you need to deposit/store  a large load, you will have the right size unit.

Do not wait until that natural urge hits you later.
Here is the link so you can order NOW!

Wing, I don't know. I guess you're saying it would make a great tool box for the back, but I don't see where the covers locks down. Am I missing something?
Here's the picture. Please point out where the locking device is?

Bert, if you can not figure that out then this items is way to complicated for you to get or use.

Sorry about confusing you.
