Swampy,

What oil would be..... Oh, oops! :-)

Real question, what kind of time from start to finish would the average rider expect on SUNDAY? Understand we're looking at 250 odd miles for the day, but when will we be able to roll out and get 'er done? Primarily concerned as I have a plane to catch in the evening. Damn work! Hoping the "castle" is fairly close to the end of the trail as it's also ( if I guess the right castle ) close to my place. May just cut and run from there.

Thanks sir. Looking forward to this and hope to make it an annual ride.

I have a KTM530 setup for the woods (14x53 gearing) but looking at the route sheet I think I will bring the KLR650 as it would be the better bike. It appears that  we are doing more hard-pack and pavement than off road sandy stuff.
What do you guys think?
Anyone?

What is everyone that's trailering in their bikes doing about overnight parking?

I use GPSBabel as a GPS converter.

As for how long on Sunday... 250 miles is an 8 hour day... though 6 could be seen with no dawdling or stops..

Trailers and trucks, I'd recommend the long term parking lot at the airport in Lakeland. It's pretty secure I hear...

Ride is more suitable for the KLR than the 530.... it was in the ride description as geared towards the bigger bikes...
