Also a BIG thanks to Driver for the ride back close to the camp so I could nurse that tender chain the rest of the way back.

No thanks necessary ... that's what I was there for.  I should have taken you the rest of the way.  Especially considering the "talking-to" I got in a not so friendly way from the nice man who's peace I was trying to help maintain by standing there at the corner.  Some folks you just can't please.  Oh well, he'll always be mean and crabby whereas my life is good.  Hope he enjoys his "private land" while we enjoy our DDS family and adventures.  Woo Hoo !

What a great time with great folks to share it with.  Thanks to "The" Swampy and all the folks who helped make it happen.  Maybe it's me, but the Creek just seems to be getiing better each year.  We have to ride all day just to burn the calories from all the fine food.  As much as I like riding, I have to admit I start thinking about Miss Linda's lunch quite a bit before I get there.

Hope to see y'all at the Black Bear for another sweet ride.

I took some pics from the weekend and Sunday's Adventure route with my camera phone. It was a nice relaxing ride! Sorry to hear about someone getting injured on the Sunday Dual-Sport.

Wow Jack! Fabulous pictures!!
Thank you to everyone who made the "Bull Shoot" another success. Every year the party gets bigger and better.
Now we just have to plan our act for next year. Johnny Cash is a tough act to follow!  Again a great big thanks to all that came out and made this the best Devils Creek yet!

Woke up and headed to sound checks.

Had some in front already

They slowly trickled in behind us.

The weather was actually pretty nice.

Sound checks have begun.

Small gatherings started all over the place.

Portrait time, Smile!

The last time my bike will ever be clean.

The working crew gets everyone registered very quickly.

Roll charts being cut and taped.

Hey you need a little light? Let me move over here. There, hows that?

Gatherings prior to riders meeting.

When is this thing going to start?

Hey I know that guy getting up on the stage....

Some were just here for the coffee....

And the main event.

Sorry for the bad pictures this time, my camera was not happy. More to follow...

A beautiful morning

We unload the bikes.

That is: Tim unloads and I go and socialize.

Little Red Hood made an appearance....

and note in the background the women who REALLY ride. Go ladies go!

Lining up for sound check. I imagined it would be a sort of colonoscopy for the bike... but it was  quick and did not hurt

And this is how men do roll charts:

And this is the women's way to do roll charts:

The mob sent "Guido" to check it all out

And we got going... and going... and going...

and when we arrived we did not know if we were the first or the last.

Where is everybody?

Luckily, the sweep crew gave us a hint.

So we kept going  (25 1/2 ribs later)

with occasional stops. Not always intentional.

It is confirmed: swimming and riding don't go together well...

Suzy  waiting for me to be done wrestling gators ..

we called it even, ok?  Professional courtesy....

Anyway, several adventures later we got back to camp. It was dark by then.

Boy, I love riding with Guido. My bike got washed too. I was off socializing.

Now, when is Dolly Parton going to show up???

That's all, folks.

The rest of the time we were going SO FAST that the photos are a blur!

You all come and see us, you hear?

Dear DDS Family,
First of all I want to thank Swampy and all the crew that put on this event.  I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it; Saturday was great riding and ended up doing one section of trails 3 times.   Kept getting better every time and got to ride with some guys from Jacksonville area.  What a GREAT group!  Enjoyed the Bullshoot, ate some really good food, had a good night's sleep and couldn't wait for Sunday.  Same group got together on Sunday and after a late start, it didn't take long to get in the groove.  All was going well when unexpectedly, I found myself flying thru the air.  What a WEIRD feeling; I ended up on the ground and unable to breathe.  Thanks to the care of the professional guys that understand pain, they got me (gently) out of the woods and into the Dade City ambulance.  I know that putting me in the back of the SUV was difficult, but they did it with precision and care.  I cannot remember the names of everyone who helped, but I do remember the great effort you all put in to get me to safety and pain relief.  What a GREAT family group you are!!!!  After being tortured in Tampa General Hospital for a week, I am home and recovering from my 8 broken ribs and collapsed lung.  I'm not sure how long it will take to rejoin the group - Dr. says a minimum of 3 months.   Keep up the good work - I'll be back soon.   THANKS!!!!!!
