Sorry I missed that one, as it sounds like it was a great ride. Count me in on Round 2......

Yeah Rick, ya'll took the roundabout way for sure, probably added 10-15 miles, but those GPS units are funny about sending you to a major highway. Glad ya'll had a good time, we'll do it again. That's the most excitement Cuthbert's had in quite some time!!

Wait! Now Toolie told me to go that way. He wanted to beat me back. I see the plan now.

You had an "all knowing, all seeing" GPS, what could possibly go wrong??

You asked Tooly for directions!

You would have been better off to ask Andy to pass the Gravy.

GPS got me back no matter what mistakes were made. Next time I'll have a back up map.

Looks like a great time.

If you guys did this March 3rd-4th, that was the same crazy weekend I was leading a group of 11 from Senoia to Monticello, FL via dirt roads.  We did it, but it was an adventure and got wet most of Saturday.  Thankfully, Sunday was much better and the conditions were perfect with the wet sand in S. GA.

Yes, Dan that was the same weekend. The weather did keep one alert.

How many miles each day did you ride that weekend?

We did 277 miles on Sat and 320 on Sun.  We spent 90mins on Sat just north of Dawson GA digging bikes out of a muddy road that just about became impassible after a few bikes went down it.  Had to pull 2 front fenders off a Sherpa and XT250 so their wheels would turn and my wife fried her clutch on her XT225 due to the mud packing in.  From that point it was a highway ride in the rain and the dark to Monticello, FL only because we had made hotel reservations we would get charged for or else we would have just found something where we were.

Sunday made it all worth it though since the wet sand had so much traction and the wind was drying things out nicely,  The ride home was epic and a blast, but our group of 11 was down to 7 for the return ride home.  I'm working on a ride report I'll get posted soon!
