Thanks to Wing for coming up with a suitable name for this endeavor as my suggestion of...........................

March 5, 2012
M&M's SW Ga Dirt Tour
"One's Plain, the Other's
A Nut. You decide."

Just seemed way too long so we went with this.
We had worked hard to put together some routes for a weekend's worth of riding. Now all we needed was to get the opinions of some seasoned riders, you know, real pros, guys who know all the ins and outs of dual sport riding to see if we were on to anything. I guess none of those were available this weekend so we came up with these:
RabbitRandy, a guy who wears rabbit ears in the shower. WTF?
Kawazukimaha, a lover of all brands of motorcycles
DKO (DirtKnockOut) Dave, suffered head trama on a ride with Swampy
JWCIV and Stubbjr, who tried to ride the entire Hatfield/McCoy trail system in one day, or something like that.
And Phil, no stories yet on him, he could be the only sane one in the bunch, I don't know.

I do know this...........I found myself in the unenviable position of tour guide. All I heard was "You're going too fast", "I got to pee",  "I'm hungry, when's lunch?" "This rain's cold, how long is it back to the shop?"
How do ya'll get Randy to shut up? haha
I thought you had to be tough to get that "TEAM WANKER" sticker. Apparently that's not the case.

OK, I'm thru venting.........let's talk about the ride....................

At the Providence Canyon stop I look around and notice John pulling on Stubb's zipper.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...................

What have I gotten myself into? I check the tank bag for my pistol, yeah it's in there.

Then I realize it's the zipper on his jacket, whew, that's a relief.

Later at the fire tower Randy hurries to the top to see if he can spot a creek to cross. He sees one way off in the distance and hollers down "When we get to Louvale I'm takin' my DRZ thru that creek, what about the rest of you chickens?" Hmmmm, I wonder how that will work out.

Click on link to see the professional way to calculate the height of a tower.

Also notice Randy's descent climbing style.

The  creek "Crossing" !

John making the Journey.

Water is only a few inches, but some people just have to make easy things Hard!!!  Right Randy.

It took a log to save the DRZ.
Sorry no picture from me, (I was too busy keeping Andy from jumping in to show the boys how to get the job done.)
Maybe someone else has one of the DRZ saving "Log".

Stopping in Lumpkin for some Chow. Did get a little rain on the way there but is stop while we where eating.
(Bert I told them we should wait for you at the Four Corners Bar-B- Que but they would not.)

Some guy trying to borrow a few bucks to eat
or
was it for some change to wash the creek sand off of his bike ?

After eating and getting gas for the bikes we headed out. We had lucky all day with just having a little rain. We had been between to fronts. One was south of us (Tornadoes reported) and one was North of us. Up until now just a little rain. But just like one person at the "Crossing" our luck was to run out. Just out of town the Rain started and did not stop for the next 25 to 30 mile until we got back the the shop. Not was the rain cold but it was COLD.  Well one good thing, no Dust.

The rain only stopped then because we was in the shop.
Bike put away and guys out getting dry and putting on warm clothes.

More to come!

Wing, I want to share a phrase I kept hearing.........."Slow down, you're going too fast". I think the guys have some pics to throw in before we get too far.

I never heard  "Slow down, you're going too fast" I guess the reason is that I was in the back. The way back called "LAST".   One going thing about being the last one is that no one see you when you almost bust it!  But that never happens to me.

Hey, It's tool that always rides too fast. He's the one that kept pushing us on our NC trip last year. I had to keep giving it the throttle to keep him from running over me.

That's my story!

Great report guys...and Yes, I was on the ride they gave DKO his name.

Bert

AHEM!!!!!
The M&M tour was excellent.....wet feet and all.
Let the REAL story begin.
Randy and I arrive Friday eve......Toolguy extrordinaire meets us at "the shop" (enough steel in there to sink a battleship)..........Andy and Dave show up.......and Andy gets to work......milking his cow.

I meant tightening his spokes

Looks like government contractors here
Andy sweats, Randy critiques, Tooly supervises, and Dave is on the way to the bank

A cold blooded blond hangs out at Tooly's shop every day
