I bought some retirement property near Walhalla, SC last year. I'm heading up there at the end of this month to ride the bike for a week. I have done a lot of road riding in this area (and to the north in NC) and found some gravel roads on Duke Power land, but no woods riding. Anyone know of any single or dual track riding within an hour or so of this area?

Thanks….

Take a few minutes to explore the Forum a bit as there's all sorts of information on here. Look under "What To See In..." better yet, here's the link to the SC section! You may want to look under Georgia as well. There's an ORV trail just just south west of Clayton....

Walhalla is a nice place to get some property....

Dang, I was just there two weeks ago. While I was looking for some single track...we did find some cool dualsport roads. Some of these were:

Bull Pen Road

Bad Creek Forest Roads (as it's hunting season the gates were open at Bad Creek)

Whiteside Cove Rd

Walking Stick Rd

Horse Cove Rd

Burrells Ford Rd

Cheohee Rd (Winding Stairs?)

Jumping Branch Rd

Area's I wanted to hit and ran out of time were:

Oakey Mt OHV Trail (~1 hour away)

Locust Stake OHV (Closed for 2012, 1 ½  hours away)

Enoree OHV (2 ½ hours away)

Wayehutta ATV (2 hours away)

Cedar Springs OHV Trail (1 ½ hours away)

I come up a couple times a year so I'm interested in any places you can recommend.
