WOOHOO Tomorrow morning is almost here. Gonna stop and get my key lime pie as my contribution to the dessert table on my way home from work tonight.
One last plea for more DDSers to represent the motorcycle riders among the 100's of hunters and other forest users that will be there tomorrow to clean up our favorite recreation area!!!
See everyone bright and early!!

We had a GREAT turnout! Thanks to Dan Fisher, Bill Hills, Paul Lombardi, Brian Krause, Rick Stubblefield, Glen Stuart, Mike Riddle, Rob Parker, Tricia Parker, and our official forest cleanup puppy Hannah Banana Parker for coming! Mostly lots of beer cans.  Those that stayed for the yummy BBQ and desserts won some of the raffle prizes and our winner for the free Devils Creek entry is Glen. Congratulations! Hope everybody had fun!

Yeah, it was hot, mosquito infested, dirty, and even Stubb broke out into a sweat, but a rewarding and worthwhile day.
The day started early with a beautiful sunrise to enjoy on the way.
[richloamcleanup001_zps440436cb]

We headed out to Goat Road and and worked out way East on Lacoochee Clay Sink Road.

It's like a box of chocolates.................you never know what you'll get.
[richloamcleanup003_zps4733430d]
Spent about an hour at one intersection and filled 5 bags.
[richloamcleanup005_zps665cfb9e]

By noon the truck was filled up with tires, and bags of bottles and cans.
[richloamcleanup006_zpsf8bdca72]
Then it was time to drop it all off and head to lunch.  And a fine lunch it was! I have done this three years, and this was the best BBQ they have ever put out.  Great job folks!
We had a good DDS turnout, but still dwarfed by the Sportsman Association guys.  Over 200 people showed up to clean up the woods.
[richloamcleanup007_zps8ce17703]
A big thanks go out to the Richloam Sportsman's Association for pulling together this effort, and to Samantha for her ongoing efforts to get the DDS riders out to help out.

It was a fun day! Maybe if we could move Richloam a little closer to the east coast I could get some week end riding in. That's a looooooong ride to get there. Our group was dwarft by the hunters but we did our share. Feels good![grouphug]
