New tires on the bike...

Oil and filter changed...

Washed the helmet liner and boots...

Camera all set with mucho batteries...

Packing up minimal gear...

Route sheet created and completed. Maps done...(no. no gps tracks... maps! Finding your way IS the adventure!)

Lodging arrangements made...

4 days to departure...

I love dual sport touring....

Today is Wednesday... that means Work Thursday... work Friday.... Leave Friday evening.... to points north....

3 hard riding dual sport toruing days in the rough and rugged mountains of Appalachia.

Doing something no one else has ever done (at least I can't find it documented anywhere!)...

 This wil the first time in 4 years I haven't loaded up for a trip north for a Labor Day trip. It is really depressing.

Silly DDS riders!  Did you forget that the power of the Duck and it's guiding ability is limited to swamps?  

Oh, and let this be a lesson ... maybe we should stay back from high places if Swampy is near.  I'm just saying ...
