Wifey has a rare 3 day weekend for Memorial Day my 55th birfday Thinking about a run to Cheaha Mtn. All are welcome to join us, motel camping.
Probably Head out of Orlando early Friday afternoon in the cage and trailer to get us outta Flatistain under the cover of darkness and park it in Eufaula.  Ride Saturday and Sunday. Taking the Bandit with street tires so want to keep the gravel down to 50 or 75 miles or less.
Any suggestions on routes or places to see

So far eyeballing Google maps I've come up with this map.

I'd suggest making your way up to Little River Canyon and possibly back down through Pine Mountain Ga.

I may have a couple GPS routes if it will help.

Mark,
Cupcakes or mud pie.
I'm thinking of spending Friday and Sunday nights  at the Lakeside Motor Lodge. The one review I found said it was clean; for $40 per night I think could do worse. Probably better than the legendary Cheaha chiggers. If  they won't let me park the cage for Saturday I'll take you up on parking.
Bert,
+1 on Little River Canyon. sent email addy by PM for tracks.

If you like racing, NASCAR, and cars, there's a great auto museum at the Talladega SuperSpeedway....

there are 12 remaining covered bridges in Alabama. The state is proud of them and includes their location on the state travel maps you can get at welcome areas....

one is the Waldo bridge on 77 Between Talladega and ashand...

I was tied up til late last night and I will be tonight as well...I'll try to get those GPS routes to you, but if I forget, please hit me with a PM. Worst case should be by Thursday.

I might also add Barbers museum to the list if you plan on hanging around the area.

If you've never been it's worth the trip, but plan on staying for 3 to 5 hours.

Bert
